Carrier REST SMS/MMS API on Telstra

Telstra Messaging API is a REST API on T.DEV (dev.telstra.com) that gives an application access to Telstra Short Message Centre and Multimedia Message Service Centre to send and receive SMS and to send MMS in Australia and overseas via the internet. The official product page describes it as a simple, secure and reliable REST API that integrates SMS messaging across an existing marketing suite, with near real-time messaging at scale, two-way communication, broadcasting to large groups, and two-factor authentication. Telstra hosts and sends messages from an Australian messaging gateway and markets a direct carrier connection across the Telstra mobile network. Access is via the T.DEV portal with a 100-message free trial, then a PAYG casual plan or a 12-month Enterprise plan. T.DEV publishes PAYG rates on the Messaging API Pricing page without login (Domestic SMS $0.06 excl GST); Enterprise Plans remain application/sales with no published rates. Access to PAYG and Enterprise requires a Telstra Developer account and a 10-digit Telstra Billing Account ending in 0. OCT still mentions application-form charges as a contractual caveat, but live T.DEV PAYG rates are public.
