Esendex is the Australian trading brand of Esendex Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 82 113 596 580 / ACN 113 596 580), an Australian private company with ABN active from 31 March 2005 and GST-registered from the same date. The AU website (esendex.com.au) markets a 'solve-it-in-one' multichannel platform and 'build-once APIs' for SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, email and voice, with 'responsive local support'. The About page states the brand was founded by Adam Bird and Julian Hucker in 2001 in Nottingham, UK, and that 'in 2005, we officially opened our Australian office here in Melbourne'. Commify.com says the group works with more than 46,000 companies, sends almost 5 billion messages a year across its brand portfolio, and employs close to 300 people in Europe, the United States and Australia. The AU About and product pages repeat '46,000+ customers' and '5B+ messages per year' in the same breath as the Commify-group sentence — those figures are group scale, not independently disclosed Esendex Australia volumes, so customer_count, annual_message_volume and employee_count are recorded as null. Named Australian customers include Bupa, Team Global Express and government departments. In March 2026 the AU managing director announced the new Esendex Connect platform launch in Australia, coinciding with the Melbourne office's 21st anniversary.
